This is a COVID and business issue that requires a reorganization solution. Our quality and service will not be compromised. Talk about “separate lives.” Phil Collins has filed a lawsuit against his ex-wife, Orianne Cevey, after she allegedly refused to leave his Miami Beach, Florida, home after marrying another man in Las Vegas in August. Collins, 69, claimed he gave Cevey, 46, until Monday, Oct. 12 to move out but she failed to do so, according to People . Filed on Wednesday, the lawsuit accuses Cevey of unlawful detainer and forcible entry. In the documents, Collins claims Orianne and her new husband, Thomas Bates, have “taken possession of the property by a show of force” and allegedly have hired “armed guards to patrol the Property with openly displayed firearms.”

Five people were hurt after a likely gas explosion at a strip mall in Harrisonburg, Va., just blocks from the campus of James Madison University, according to reports. The early Saturday blast could be felt for miles around and sparked a fire that eventually caused so much damage, several shops were razed . Among the victims were three James Madison University students who suffered minor injuries. The trio had been standing outside the store when the explosion occurred , part of an Army ROTC running group which had been involved in a 10-mile race, the finish line of which was just yards from the explosion site. While Gov. Ralph Northam identified the source of the incident as a gas explosion, local officials could not confirm the cause, saying more investigation was needed.

The US Drug Enforcement Administration recovered over 2,200 pounds of methamphetamine earlier this month in Southern California, the agency’s largest-ever domestic seizure of the drug, officials said Wednesday. The agency executed the bust on Oct. 2 at stash houses in Riverside County, east of Los Angeles, with ties to the Sinaloa cartel, the DEA said in a statement. “The largest DEA domestic seizure of methamphetamine in history is a significant blow to the cartels, but more importantly it is a gigantic victory for communities throughout Southern California and the United States who have had to deal with the torrent of methamphetamine coming into their neighborhoods,” DEA Acting Administrator Timothy Shea said at a Wednesday press conference. Along with 2,224 pounds of meth, the DEA also seized 893 pounds of cocaine and 13 pounds of heroin.

Virginia’s General Assembly passed a bill banning “no-knock” search warrants Wednesday, clearing the way for it to go to Gov. A New Jersey teen said a teacher ordered him to take down a Donald Trump banner hanging behind him in his home during a virtual class last week, according to local reports. A puppy inside a cage at an Ohio park was set on fire last weekend — and investigators are still looking for those responsible for the heartless act. The dog, who survived the horrifying ordeal, was found by firefighters at Walnut Hill Park in Columbus just after noon on Sunday, authorities said. When members of the Columbus Division of Fire first arrived, they noticed the burning remnants of a plastic cage underneath a tree. The firefighters then spotted the dog running around the park. The pooch had black plastic melted onto her back, authorities said. The puppy was treated, and subsequently adopted, by staff at the Diley Hill Animal Medical Center and “is doing remarkably well,” according to the Columbus Division of Fire.

Two Maryland public figures are in hot water with the IRS.  Baltimore's City State's Attorney Marilyn Mosby and Maryland Del. Nick Mosby had a lien filled against them for $45,000 worth of unpaid back taxes, according to court records. The lien is an attempt to collect unpaid taxes from 2014-2016. Delegate Nick Mosby said, "I have been in ongoing conversations with the IRS for five years about the tax consequences of an early withdrawal from my retirement savings plan, which I did to support unplanned expenses after a series of family tragedies. An Idaho man who twice unsuccessfully ran for governor has been charged with murdering a 12-year-old Colorado girl who disappeared more than 35 years ago, authorities said. Steven Dana Pankey, 69, of Meridian, was arrested Monday on charges of first-degree murder, second-degree kidnapping and related counts in the death of Jonelle Matthews, his former neighbor in Greeley, who vanished from her home on December 20, 1984, Weld County District Attorney Michael Rourke announced Tuesday . The city of Los Angeles has been ordered to pay the National Rifle Association $150,000 after Mayor Garcetti and co. were caught trying to strong arm and intimidate city contractors who had ties to the gun organization.
