Wicomico County Schools schedule to bring the kids back

Wicomico County's BOE has a plan and a schedule to bring students back into the classrooms, beginning Monday.

However, Middle and High School students will not be returning to campus, until after the first of the year. While Middle Schoolers are scheduled to return the week of January 4th, High Schoolers will have to wait until the start of the 2nd Semester which isn't until February 2nd.

On October 19th Pre-K returns everyday Except Wednesday!

The week of October 26th, Kindergarten students and some students receiving Special Education services will begin hybrid learning, with students divided into one of two groups for instruction in school two days a week and learning online the other three days. Hybrid learning will allow for recommended physical distancing in classrooms and on buses. Grades 1 and 2 will return the week of November 9th. The other grades will follow with hybrid learning.

Parents and or Guardians will be required to let the school know several weeks in advance of their child's return whether or not they will participate in hybrid classes, or continue with virtual classes. They must also let the school know if the child will be using public school transportation.

The BOE would like you to be aware that the schedule is subject to change based on health metrics and other factors. Donna Hanlin, Superintendent of Schools said, "We continue to communicate and collaborate regularly with the Wicomico County Health Department".

The link below should take you to the complete schedule.
